Life will be boring if you don't get out and live it!! |
Here is Jess with a mini knight, just her size
Here are the kids with the dragon eggs
And Jess on the throne.
Happy Easter everyone… may your day be filled with chocolate delights!!
I know ours will be… the kids have already woken and made a good start on their annual chocolate breakfast…. suppose we will have to try to get them some normal food at some stage!!
Is a cold and wet morning in Ballarat which is a real shame because the caravan park is putting on a Easter Egg Hunt for the kids… all kids are required to head to the Recreation room while the staff hide over 2500 eggs around the park!!! Going to be some very wet eggs, but at least they won’t melt!!
Anyway, enough about today I hear you say… what happened yesterday??? Well, we had an adventure at Castle Kyral.

Was a slowish start to the day as I had spent the morning sorting out the disaster at work, so it was close to 1pm by the time we arrived at Kyral castle. The kids were all very excited as they were greeted by a moving Dragon just inside the castle gates.

We started the journey through the underground passages watching the animated tale of how Kyral castle came to be. Would have been a really good show if it wasn’t for the grumpy old tourists in front of us who pretty much stood right in front of the show so the kids couldn’t see or hear what was going on!!! Some people are simply rude and not considerate of others!
Anyway, after talking to the Ghosts of the King of Kyral Castle and the dragon deep within the caverns below the castle we emerged into the castle courtyard where the kids all had a go at pulling excalibur from the stone… unfortunately no new kings or queens to report in the family π
Next stop was the dungeons and the torture rooms. Was a sign warning that children under 12, or those with a weak heart shouldn’t proceed, and while Zac was very brave, he opted for no nightmares that night, and only had a look in the first room before Mark and I descended the dark steep stairs into the dungeons. Wasn’t that scary, although there was a lot of groaning and moaning from the dungeon guests… oh and the sounds of Mark and I laughing as the poor women in front of us who had decided to go it alone nearly crapped her dacks around every turn!!! Was very entertaining!!!! LOL!
We then headed to court to see where the King meets with his knights sitting at the round table, and of course the throne room where the kids all got to sit on the throne… shh don’t tell the king or it will be back to the dungeons for them!!
Next stop was the castle courtyard again for some Jousting. Was somewhat impressive as the two knights thundered along on their warhorses and the crash as their lances splintered on each others shields.
Was a real surprise, but it was the knight of Castle Kyral who won the day (I know I never saw it coming either…) 3 lances to 2 against the visiting knight.
All that jousting was hungry work, so we headed to the Castle bakery for a feed. That was were we got to spend about an hour standing in a queue with 6 hungry and screaming kids… was very exciting as I’m sure you could imagine… and if you can’t… yes I am being sarcastic…. was horrible!!!
I did hear one of the staff telling another customer that today was busier than the re-opening day!!! Guess all that Radio advertising really does work!
Anyway, with full bellies we headed off once again to explore the castle. First stop… the torture room again… hehe… I just had to take Fi and Kate through!! While they were very brave (and I use that term very loosely) I’m not sure what was scaring them more… the sounds of the dark dungeon and the scenes of torture, or the fact I was walking behind them and they were sure I was going to jump out an scare them… while I’ll admit it did take a lot of will power not to use such a well presented opportunity, I was strong and just let their own fear do all the work. I wasn’t disappointed as they ran screaming from them dungeon… hehe… yes I can be evil!!!
I guess from there I had no choice but to lock the two screaming wenches (man am I in trouble when they read this) in the stocks while I went to gather the rest of the family.
Of course then everyone had to get locked in as well!
We stopped by the medieval costume shop, and the lolly shop to spend some more money before all getting lost in the labyrinth of a maze. With 5 foot walls, it was very funny to see two heads (fi and Kate) bobbing along, while the kids were all simply lost. Tara started to lose it at the end as she came across dead end after dead end… I suppose it would be scary when the walls are way taller then you are!!
We made it in the end, don’t think we left any behind and that was the end of our medieval adventure. The kids all had a ball and were not at all happy when we emerged out of the castle gates, with Jess trying to run back inside. I think she loves that stuff!
Not much to report for the rest of yesterday, the rain continued to drizzle, so we watched movies under the annex while the girls went to the recreation room to watch Brave on the big screen.
I really hope the rain does ease or it is going to be a terrible easter again locked in the caravan all day with 6 screaming kids!
Let’s see how the day pans out π
PS Will try to get everyone else to upload some more photos later.
Was a lazy day yesterday π
A slow morning, sleeping in, a late breakfast followed by mostly sitting around doing very little!! Just the way I like it π
All the kids woke ratty yesterday for some reason and for most of the day it didn’t take much to set them off. They were all grumpy and difficult to keep entertained, especially on such a lazy day.
We had a late breakfast of Pancakes on the BBQ for the kids, followed by B&E’s for the parents. Then the kids headed off to explore the caravan park.
It is a smallish park, but has a jumping pillow and little playground to keep the kids amused, but unfortunately we have no line of site and they are at the entrance to the park. Not a great secure safe location… oh well we will manage.
Fi headed home to work just after lunch as Kate took Jess, Claire, Matt and Zac for a swim in the indoor pool. a great idea except that it is NOT heated!!! Lucky kids have no feeling!
The rest of us had a movie afternoon watching Men In Black I, then II, then III. Was a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
At about 5:30pm, the girls all headed off to the Recreation room to be part of the parks activities, but while they were gone, the CFA turned up in the Fire truck with the siren blaring… no not a fire just a collection for the Good Friday appeal.
So even though it was a lazy day, we still managed to have a good time, and the kids were exhausted, all in bed and asleep by 8pm.
So… I awoke early this morning and started writing this blog when I got a phone call from the boss… all Liquor and Supermarkets were offline! So I had to kick the kids out of the van over to the Waldron’s (they had sent them over for a bit of quiet Mum and Dad time… but I sent them straight back!!) so I could make the caravan my command centre as I spent 3 hours co-ordinating a disaster!! All good again now, although I had to pull alot of my team into the office to fix things π
Anyway, Fi is here now and we are preparing to head off to Kryal Castle. Should be good fun.
PS – Haven’t yet figured out yet why they call this caravan park The Windmill???
Actually we are already here!
That’s right this Easter rather than our standard Tidal River Wilson’s Prom trip we have decided to head somewhere different, and someone (can’t remember who) managed to find us a couple of spots at the Windmill Big 4 on the outskirts of Ballarat.
Part of the reason why we we didn’t go to the Prom was Fi has to work Friday night and Monday arvo, and the Prom is a 3 hour drive each way, where as Ballarat is only an hour and a half. The other reason is we have lucked out with the weather the last few years (read about last years trip!!!) and after checking the weather for the Prom I am glad we didn’t go there…. cold and windy again!!!
Ballarat on the other hand is simply just cold, but at least we can always throw a blanket over our legs like the old fogies we are…hehehe.
Anyway, Mark and Kate had the day off work today and were able to get away once the kids finished school just after 3pm, whereas Fi and I had to work, so we didn’t get away until about 4:30pm. Straight into good old peak hour.
Was a crawl through the tunnel and over the West Gate onto the Western Hwy… took us the best part of on hour to get out of Melbourne!
We had a brief stop at Maccas on the road for dinner before heading onto Ballarat.
Was just coming into Ballarat when Tara started talking to her iPod (yes was the girls birthday yesterday) as if she was on the phone. Fi and I were in the front laughing and thinking how cute it was, when after a few minutes we said “Gee is really does sound like she is talking to someone!!”
Fi asked Tara “Who are you talking to Tara?”
“Nana and Grandpa” replied Tara.
Fi said “what are you just pretending?”
“No” said Tara, “I am really talking to them!” Fi and I looked at each other when Tara showed us her iPod “See…”
As it turned out she really was!!
I had let the kids connect to the internet through my iPad in the car on the way down, so Tara had decided to facetime someone and Grandpa answered!!!
Stunned Fi and I….. hilarious!
Anyway, got here just after 7:30 and Mark helped me to setup the van while Fi did it hard having a cuppa and keeping Kate company!!
Will be a quiet day tomorrow around the park while Fi heads off about lunchtime so she can be back for work. She will return Saturday morning (if she gets out of bed…) and we will probably spend the day at Kryal castle.
Should be a good weekend away π
So that was an expensive lesson π
Took the car to Nissan today, and I will need a new tank, a new sump and a puncture repair.
Guess I’m picking up the bill for this one, $2500-$3000 and that will be trade price on parts and labour as she felt sorry for me seeing as the car is so new π
Maybe I should have invested in some bash plates as armour for the underside of the car, that would have only cost me $500-$1000. If you have a 4wd and plan on going bush, money well spent I say!!
Oh well, expensive lesson that I don’t plan on repeating anytime soon!
You can see here on the map the section that we travelled down hill. Only a short track of about 1km, but we descended about 700m! You can see by the closeness of the contours that it was very steep… next time I think I might stick to the marked tracks – LOL!
PS – I’m sure I posted this blog before, but for some reason it dissapeared!!!
PPS – Picked up the car on Wednesday. Cost me $2500 π
PPPS – Nissan replaced the sump tank, Fuel tank, a Tyre and Radiator hose that had a pin prick, so on my first adventure with the new car I managed to lose Air, Water, Oil and Fuel!!!! The 4 critical things to make a car go!!!
…and didn’t it.
Had a great camp last night, kicking back around the fire toasting marshmallows as the river bubbled away in the background. We really did pick a great spot to camp!
Zac was amazed by just how many stars you can see in the sky away from the light pollution of the city, but wasn’t keen enough to sleep with the top of his swag open. As for me, I fell asleep under a starry sky in my swag π
Our camp site was really secluded, and with my car strategically parked across the way in, no one bothered us all night. One 4wd came down about 10pm, but as soon as they saw the car they headed off.
I awoke about 7:30am (old man bladder), and was on my second cuppa and had already eaten my pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast (yum!)Β before Zac popped his head up around 8:30. He was still tired, but I suppose I can excuse that given he did spend all last week on School camp in Canberra.
Was just before 10am by the time breakfast was done, camp was packed and we were on our way with no real destination in mind.
We quickly found our first 4wd track up the side of Rough Hill. A steep climb to 965m, then along Kepple Ridge towards Lake Mountain. We even stopped on the track and tested the winch (even though we didn’t need to!) . Now Zac understands what a winch is and why we have it… pretty cool in his words!!
As we wound our way back down the mountain towards Lake Mountain, we made our first mistake, missing a turn off and headed north away from where we thought to go. We were a fair way down the track by the time we realised, so we just kept going even though it cost us about an hour. We headed around Mt Bullfight, the doubled back along McFadyen track and back up Mount Margaret… at a height of 1290m, was the highest mountain we traversed on this trek.
Was along this road that I saw my first snake. Was zooming along a gravel road dodging sticks, when I realised that one of the sticks was long and black and moving just before it dissapeared under the car. Not sure if I ran it over or not, as I wasn’t game enough to stop in the dust and check… hope it was ok, I tried to put the wheels on either side of it.
Anyway, up on Mount Margaret, we drove through the regrowth from the Black Saturday fires. Was very eerie with all the dead trees looming over head, and there were a lot of sticks we had to dodge. Was hard in spots to see the track, and we started heading down the hill along what was a bulldozer track with many fallen trees. I swear they were all about to fall on us, so I wasn’t too happy when we hit a dead end and had to head back up again. We had just got back to the thin track that was actually where we were meant to go when a 4wd burst from the track and made to head down where I had come from.
I leapt from my car and ran over to tell the guy that there wasn’t much point heading down there. Was a nice old man and his Grandson. He asked how the Pathfinder was going, and I said great, would you believe it is only a week old?
He laughed and said his car was only 3 weeks old and so was the one behind him!
I asked about the path he had just come along, and he told me it was low range and slow going, but would get me through to Kepple Hut which was where I was trying to get to. He said I might want to wait for the other car though, as there is no way you can pass on that track! Was about then that the second 4wd appeared with Mum driving and the rest of the family. They were all navigating on a picture the young fella had taken on his iPad, so I showed him memory-maps on mine and let them find their bearings before we headed off down the track they had come from.
Was a tough track, rocky and thin and slow going, but we eventually made it to Kepple hut where we stopped for lunch. Kepple Hut is an old stockman’s hut, built in the lateΒ 1800’sΒ that can be used as a refuge for campers in the area to light a fire and stay somewhere dry for the night. We poked around a bit until Zac found the wood splitter that he thought was an awesome weapon and wanted to start chopping wood. That was about when I said “ok, let’s go!”
We had a quick bite to eat then got back on the road, winding back into the Catherdral Ranges, and popping out not far from Taggerty. We drove to Buxton for a refill, then had the great idea of heading back through the Black Ranges and Toolangi State Forest so as to not have to follow all the traffic through the Spur.
So off we went, and wound our way around Mt Tanglefoot on a lot of the tracks that I know well. Most of the smaller bogs were dry (like most everything else on this trek), and the larger bog holes didn’t look all that inviting (took a lot of will power), so it was pretty easy going, simply having to watch for good sized ruts.
We headed up along aeroplane Tk where we found our most challenging rutty track so far, and had great fun as we drove along the ridge top. It was on this track that I announced to Zac that this would be the last 4WD track today, as when we get to the bottom we will follow the road out.
That was when we made our biggest mistake of the entire trip… cruising along the dirt road, I saw a little shortcut track that met up with the road we were on further down the hill, and we decided one more track wouldn’t hurt… oh my god were we wrong!
The track was steep and thin to start with, no worse then anything else we had done until about a quarter of the way down when the track turned very very rocky and steep. There were a lot of large loose rocks, and we constantly bottomed out. There was no way back (and I mean no way back), so we had no choice but to push on. It got worse and worse.
I rode the hill descent the whole way down as slowly as I could, although in one spot, the brakes locked up and we slid about 2m down the track. I think Zac nearly crapped his dacks… I know I almost did!
Luckily, instinct kicked in and I released and reapplied the brakes so the hill descent would kick back in and slow us down. Zac was freaked, and I promised him I would never go down a track like this again… and I actually mean it!
We finally got to the bottom, and I pulled up to inspect the damaged caused to my nice new car…
As I walked around the car I thought “Wow! How had we escaped with only a few dings in the bash plate at the front?” That was when I looked under the car and saw a steady stream of fluid… A rock had pierced the fuel tank π
With nothing else we could do, Zac and I jumped in the car and bolted to the main road. This was when I saw our second snake crossing the road, but by this time I did little more then think “cool, a snake…” as I didn’t even pause.
I had some chewy lollies in the car, and I made Zac hold one in his hand until it was soft. As we hit the main road, I noticed on the map that we were near the Glenburn roadhouse, so we quickly drove down the road there. As I got out of the car, I noticed a nice stream of diesel behind us, and it was quickly pooling beneath us. I grabbed the lollie from Zac, climbed under the car and plugged the hole… it worked!! My hand was covered in diesel, so I move the car out of the way, and went inside to wash. As we came back out, the pool was back. The lollie had dissolved π
Back into the roadhouse, we found some fuel tank putty, and manged to properly plug the hole, slowing the flow to a very slow drip. I had lost about a quarter of a tank π
Anyway, the putty held and we headed straight home. A fantastic weekend with a sour ending… hopefully there will be enough fuel left to get me back to Nissan tomorrow morning. Will be an expensive mistake I think… not one I want to repeat!!
Below are some photos from the day… sorry none of the nightmare track or the damage!
Mount Margaret
Kepple Hut
Not sure how clear it will be, but here is the breadcrumbs from our trip… Just under 200kms day 1 and 209 kms Day 2.
So we are away.
Zac and I left home at 6:30 this morning and headed bush! We made Buxton just before 7:30am and made a quick stop to grab Zac some butter menthols to help him get over his cold, then pointed the car into the bush behind the Catherdral Ranges.
Was a good start and we saw many rabbits on the trail before coming upon a herd of Kangeroos. We tried to get close enough for a photo, but they hopped away. I think Zac got the best photo on his ipod! Will upload later.
Soon got sick of the boring tracks around the Catherdral ranges, so we headed deeper into the bush towards Rubicon State Forest, and finally found the first mud to put on the new car, a small puddle, but it didn’t come cheap cause in the bog hole we got attacked by a stick that went straight through the side wall of our rear tyre…. that’s right, not even 10am and we got a puncture!!!
Made it back onto the flats and have just changed it. Nasty stick as you can see in the photo.
******later that day ******
So we have found a great little campsite that is secluded between two main (and packed) campgrounds down by the Big River in the State Forest north of the Yarra Ranges National Park.
Had a great day of 4WD’ing, covering about 200kms, up and down mountains (some very steep and scary) and along alot of ridges.
Once into the Rubicon State Forest, we finally found some decent tracks by picking anything that was classed as “seasonal closure”, and weren’t disappointed. While there wasn’t much mud, we did climb up and down some very steep tracks, a few that had Zac a little concerned!!
After passing under a very old bridge, we came across an aquaduct that wound it’s way through the forest, and some very old buildings. My guess is an old saw mill, but I can’t be sure. We then headed up a steep track and found a clearing on top of a mountain to stop for lunch at an altitude of 1000 metres (zac was impressed!). We unloaded the car and cooked up hotdog’s and boiled the kettle for a cuppa while we sat in a really nice and peaceful clearing.
Just as we were about to eat, a couple of trail bikes passed by, stopping for a quick chat. Nice enough people, a guy and girl out for a ride. I asked him about the track he had just come down, and he asked if I knew where I was. I shrugged and said “not really, but doesn’t matter cause we are just picking tracks at random”. He offered me a look at his map, but I said I had my own and so they headed off.
We ate our hotdogs as they disappeared down the trail, then packed up and headed off along the ridge top trail. After winding through some treacherous tracks, we started back down as I wanted to get out of the hills and down near the river down south to camp for the night, and that was still a ways to go. That was when we came across our trail bike friends again… well at least the girl. We stopped to ask if she was ok, and she said “umm… not really, we are lost… do you know where we are??” I pulled out the ipad, and pinpointed our exact location… got to love technology!!
That was when the guy reappeared from further down the trail. Turned out the poor girl was exhausted not having done much riding before, and was not comfortable with some oft he steep desents. We offered to follow them down, but the guy declined saying “Nah, it is not much further down and get’s a lot better after the first bit!”
Wasn’t he wrong!!! As Zac and I made our descent, we commented several times that “…she is not going to like this bit!!!” was very very steep in places. LOL.
Was coming down the hill that I picked up some rare reception just as Fi rang to see how we are going, so we paused on the track facing straight down hill for a chat.
Once down the hill again, we hit Snob’s Creek rd which was pretty much just a gravel road and headed south before another quick ascent to 1000m again before heading down the hill to the camp sites.
We weren’t to impressed with the first one we came across as it was packed, so we headed further up river, and turned into a little track off the main road to find an awesome and secluded campsite next to the river.
So, we are just relaxing and killing time by the river before tea having already setup the swags and garthered enough wood for a fire.
Biggest issue here is that being in the valley, the reception is non-existant so guess you will not see this blog until we get home again tomorrow.
Anyway, more adventures to follow….
Here are some photos from the day
Ok ok, I’m sorry, never got around to finishing off the Inverloch trip, and now two weeks later it seems a little late, but in fairness I should put something in here!!
Not a great deal to report (although every time I say that I tend to write paragraph after paragraph!!).
Saturday was spent mostly at the beach, not a bad day and we certainly had better weather than last time, but there was a decent wind coming down the river that kept picking up the sand andΒ sand blastingΒ our skin! Inverloch also got inundated by a kite surfing club. Looked amazing with probably 30-50 kite surfers all launching from the beach, but was a little dangerous for the kids π
We did manage to walk across the river at low tide to the large sandbar in the middle, and the kids had a ball collecting different shells in the sand… which all got brought back to camp and then left and forgotten so everyone stood on them!! Grr!
We returned from the beach about 3-3:30pm as the wind started to pickup and poor Granny and Grandpa were almost becoming a wind swept sand dune while we were exploring the sandbar π It was about this time that Zac found out the little secret we were keeping from him, and the real reason why Fi drove her car down separately….
Every year, Zac’s best mate Ricky somehow manages to have his birthday party on the same weekend we decided to go away, and that happened again this year. Zac was devastated when he learned that he wouldn’t get to go to Ricky’s party, as this was his last year in schoolΒ and Ricky is likely to go to a different school next year. This year Ricky was having his party at a skate park in Cranbourne.
So, after returningΒ from the beach, I made Zac have a shower and get dressed. “Shoes and Socks” I said, “Huh? Why?” Zac said. “You are going with Mum” I replied.
So he got ready like a good little boy, and when I heard Mitch ask him what he was doing he grumbled “I don’t know, I have to go with Mum… probably shopping or something…”
So Fi and Zac got ready, and just before they left, Fi realised that Zac’s scooter was in the back of my car… so I yelled “Hey Zac, grab your scooter and helmetΒ out of my car”
“Huh? Why do I need my scooter…. OH MY GOD…. are you serious….. thankyou thankyou thankyou” Zac screamed, almost in tears. I have never seen a happier kid in my life.
So Fi and Zac droveΒ the hour back to Cranbourne, and had an awesome time, while the rest of us settled down for afternoon cheese and biscuits, and the remaining kids had a ball on the jumping pillow and playground.
Dinner was a bit of a shambles. As I mentioned before, we were spread all over the park, which meant we really didn’t spend a lot of time together even though this was meant to be a family holiday together. Mum and Dad and I cooked our BBQ at my caravan, while the Leyh’s used the facilities at the camp kitchen. Once my cooking was done, we carried our dinner over to the camp kitchen, but being an echo’y loud room, it wasn’t a great environment for conversation. So we quickly ate and bolted.
After dinner we took the kids for a quick spotlight walk on the beach, then it was off to bed. Being spread all over the park, everyone disappeared to their relative cabins, leaving me and my mate “Jim” sitting outside the van alone reading on my iPad until about 11pm when a very tired Zac and Fi returning from the party.
Anyway, the next morning was a disaster. Sunday was a day filled with communication issues between the Leyh’s and Morton’s. Won’t go into all the details here, but most of the day was impacted by lack of planning activities together and then doing as we agreed. Left a bit of a divide between us, and a lot of wondering why we bother going away “together”.
Anyway, we did manage to get to the Farmers Market again, but were disappointed the animals were not there. Zac wanted to tell them that we had got a couple of pet rats after seeing them there on the Australia Day trip. Then it was back to camp for lunch and a farewell to Granny and Grandpa as they headed home.
We spent the afternoon on the beach again, and was a lot more pleasant without the kite surfers and the wind, then returned to camp for a BBQ, while the Leyh’s headed off for dinner at the pub. Note to self… earlier meals planning next time!
So that is about it (and I did write a lot after all), the next morning we packed up and headed home so I could rip the brake controller out of my car and get it to Nissan to fit to…. MY NEW CAR π
That’s right, I got a nice new shiny Pathfinder!!
So, part of the reason why I thought I would update the blog (finally) is that tomorrow, Zac and I are heading bush for the first of our swag’ing and 4WD’ing adventure. I know it is not a family caravan trip, but hey, this is my blog and I can write what I want, so I thought I would blog those adventures too.
Stay tuned to see just how much fun Zac and I have as we get the first Mud on the new car, and give our swag’s a real test π
That’s right we are back at Inverloch! Almost feels like we never left, although there are a few differences.
First of all, we are minus the Waldron’s, the Magner’s and the Stiles, but we are plus the Leyh’s and (Snr) Morton’s!! Secondly, we are not in the same caravan site, we are two sites over on the end… doesn’t that feels strange every time I walk back to camp!
Beyond the obvious, it is a bit of a different trip this time, because everyone elected to be spread all over the place, which has made it hard to congregate at night. Mum and Dad are the closest to us, in the same cabin the Magner’s were in on the last trip, so they joined us for a BBQ and a nice bottle of Red (thanks Dad) while the Leyh’s ate pizza in the camp kitchen.
Dad played a great trick on the girls yesterday as we arrived. We were stuck in the driveway waiting for the six billion caravans that just happened to arrive moments before we did, so Mum and Dad came out to meet us. Dad was showing me the map, and that was when I realised they were in the same cabin as the Magner’s last time, so I said to Tara and Jess “Hey, can you remember where Aunty Kim’s cabin was last time…. do you think you can show Grandpa?”
“Sure” said Jess, and off they went.
As they approached the cabin, Jess said “I think someone is in there as there is a car in the driveway…” and that was when Grandpa’s trickster kicked in…. “let’s have a closer look” he said.
So they crept up to the door… “let’s try the door” he said. “It’s locked” said Jess.
“Try my key…” said Grandpa, and sure enough the key worked, so they all crept inside for a sneaky look… well Tara, Zac and Grandpa did, but poor little Jess stayed outside looking on in absolute horror!
That was when Zac said “Can I have a plum Grandpa?” “Sure” he said, and Zac proceeded to bite into the juicy plum.
Jess’s jaw nearly hit the ground!! “You can’t do that” she said, “That’s stealing!!!!”
Gotta love the little darling. That was when Grandpa fessed up and told her the truth! Such a shit stir… I got no idea where I get it from!
Anyway, it is currently 8am, I’ve already been visited by the 3 Leyh kids, and the girls have headed off for a return visit to the Leyh cabin. Zac just popped up out of his swag, so I had better grab a photo…
Hehe π
Well time for breakfast I think, pancakes for the kids and B & E’s for Fi and I (if I can drag my wife out of bed!) Then it will be off to the beach for a day of fun… who knows, I may even build a sand castle!!!
