And back again!

That’s right we are back at Inverloch! Almost feels like we never left, although there are a few differences.

First of all, we are minus the Waldron’s, the Magner’s and the Stiles, but we are plus the Leyh’s and (Snr) Morton’s!! Secondly, we are not in the same caravan site, we are two sites over on the end… doesn’t that feels strange every time I walk back to camp!

Beyond the obvious, it is a bit of a different trip this time, because everyone elected to be spread all over the place, which has made it hard to congregate at night. Mum and Dad are the closest to us, in the same cabin the Magner’s were in on the last trip, so they joined us for a BBQ and a nice bottle of Red (thanks Dad) while the Leyh’s ate pizza in the camp kitchen.

Dad played a great trick on the girls yesterday as we arrived. We were stuck in the driveway waiting for the six billion caravans that just happened to arrive moments before we did, so Mum and Dad came out to meet us. Dad was showing me the map, and that was when I realised they were in the same cabin as the Magner’s last time, so I said to Tara and Jess “Hey, can you remember where Aunty Kim’s cabin was last time…. do you think you can show Grandpa?”

“Sure” said Jess, and off they went.

As they approached the cabin, Jess said “I think someone is in there as there is a car in the driveway…” and that was when Grandpa’s trickster kicked in…. “let’s have a closer look” he said.

So they crept up to the door… “let’s try the door” he said. “It’s locked” said Jess.

“Try my key…” said Grandpa, and sure enough the key worked, so they all crept inside for a sneaky look… well Tara, Zac and Grandpa did, but poor little Jess stayed outside looking on in absolute horror!

That was when Zac said “Can I have a plum Grandpa?” “Sure” he said, and Zac proceeded to bite into the juicy plum.

Jess’s jaw nearly hit the ground!! “You can’t do that” she said, “That’s stealing!!!!”

Gotta love the little darling. That was when Grandpa fessed up and told her the truth! Such a shit stir… I got no idea where I get it from!

Anyway, it is currently 8am, I’ve already been visited by the 3 Leyh kids, and the girls have headed off for a return visit to the Leyh cabin. Zac just popped up out of his swag, so I had better grab a photo…

Well time for breakfast I think, pancakes for the kids and B & E’s for Fi and I (if I can drag my wife out of bed!) Then it will be off to the beach for a day of fun… who knows, I may even build a sand castle!!!
