Was a lazy day yesterday 🙂
A slow morning, sleeping in, a late breakfast followed by mostly sitting around doing very little!! Just the way I like it 🙂
All the kids woke ratty yesterday for some reason and for most of the day it didn’t take much to set them off. They were all grumpy and difficult to keep entertained, especially on such a lazy day.
We had a late breakfast of Pancakes on the BBQ for the kids, followed by B&E’s for the parents. Then the kids headed off to explore the caravan park.
It is a smallish park, but has a jumping pillow and little playground to keep the kids amused, but unfortunately we have no line of site and they are at the entrance to the park. Not a great secure safe location… oh well we will manage.
Fi headed home to work just after lunch as Kate took Jess, Claire, Matt and Zac for a swim in the indoor pool. a great idea except that it is NOT heated!!! Lucky kids have no feeling!
The rest of us had a movie afternoon watching Men In Black I, then II, then III. Was a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
At about 5:30pm, the girls all headed off to the Recreation room to be part of the parks activities, but while they were gone, the CFA turned up in the Fire truck with the siren blaring… no not a fire just a collection for the Good Friday appeal.
So even though it was a lazy day, we still managed to have a good time, and the kids were exhausted, all in bed and asleep by 8pm.
So… I awoke early this morning and started writing this blog when I got a phone call from the boss… all Liquor and Supermarkets were offline! So I had to kick the kids out of the van over to the Waldron’s (they had sent them over for a bit of quiet Mum and Dad time… but I sent them straight back!!) so I could make the caravan my command centre as I spent 3 hours co-ordinating a disaster!! All good again now, although I had to pull alot of my team into the office to fix things 🙁
Anyway, Fi is here now and we are preparing to head off to Kryal Castle. Should be good fun.
PS – Haven’t yet figured out yet why they call this caravan park The Windmill???
