Day 1

Posted by on August 30, 2013

Good morning everyone, hope this lovely day finds you well. As you can tell, I AM NOT GRUMPY …anymore.
I may have voiced my distain at being further sleep depleted to start my holiday when the lead up has been busy and stressful enough. Between work, social gatherings, packing, cleaning and shopping it’s been a busy week. At this point let me say, I know I have added shopping to my list of pre duties and as you know Craig did too. Let me just say if you want a meal, soap for the shower, dish washing liquid, milk or the like, I have you covered. Craig’s shopping has your thirst needs covered…. Very important indeed!

I’m not sure how much sleep I got last night. My mind kept ticking over with things to remember. Was hard to roll out at 2:30 am but the driver seems to think he got much more sleep which is good considering he is driving,

It’s 8:30 now and we have stopped for many wee stops, fuel, Maccas, cereal and a stretch. We are a traveling through places that are in my work catchment area. It’s nice to give some perspective to these towns and where they are located in relation to services.

First fuel stop found Tara with the quote of the day. She very excitedly stated “ohh are we here?”. When I told her no, not yet, she replied “we’ll how much longer?” This mind you was only a few hours in!! Wait till the end of 6 weeks traveling!!!
