Another lazy day in Coral Bay

Posted by on November 8, 2010

Well not much to report from yesterday, we got up, went to the beach, then spent the rest of the day sitting around the van doing as little as possible.

As we went to the beach yesterday, I said Zac that we should snorkel the reef outside the bay for something different, and Im glad we did, as there were a lot more fish and Tara, Zac and I got to see a sea snake. Was pretty cool, right on the edge of the reef. The kids all bolted back to safer waters, but I stayed and watched as it found something of interest and dug itself into the sand head first, leaving less than a quarter of it’s body sticking out. Was white and black, and just under 1m long.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. I wish I had my underwater camera!!!

I should hopefully have a little more to report on tomorrow as we are heading out on a glass bottom boat this morning, and will get to snorkel the outer reef, about 2kms off shore. Everyone is looking forward to it.
