{"id":1007,"date":"2013-03-12T19:14:37","date_gmt":"2013-03-12T08:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caravan.mymorton.net\/caravan\/?p=1007"},"modified":"2013-03-15T13:47:05","modified_gmt":"2013-03-15T02:47:05","slug":"expensive-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/caravan.mymorton.net\/caravan\/2013\/03\/12\/expensive-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Expensive trip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So that was an expensive lesson \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p>Took the car to Nissan today, and I will need a new tank, a new sump and a puncture repair.<\/p>\n<p>Guess I&#8217;m picking up the bill for this one, $2500-$3000 and that will be trade price on parts and labour as she felt sorry for me seeing as the car is so new \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I should have invested in some bash plates as armour for the underside of the car, that would have only cost me $500-$1000. If you have a 4wd and plan on going bush, money well spent I say!!<\/p>\n<p>Oh well, expensive lesson that I don&#8217;t plan on repeating anytime soon!<\/p>\n<p>You can see here on the map the section that we travelled down hill. Only a short track of about 1km, but we descended about 700m! You can see by the closeness of the contours that it was very steep&#8230; next time I think I might stick to the marked tracks &#8211; LOL!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caravan.mymorton.net\/caravan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/20130315-134239.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"20130315-134239.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caravan.mymorton.net\/caravan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/20130315-134239.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>PS &#8211; I&#8217;m sure I posted this blog before, but for some reason it dissapeared!!!<br \/>\nPPS &#8211; Picked up the car on Wednesday. Cost me $2500 \ud83d\ude41<br \/>\nPPPS &#8211; Nissan replaced the sump tank, Fuel tank, a Tyre and Radiator hose that had a pin prick, so on my first adventure with the new car I managed to lose Air, Water, Oil and Fuel!!!!
