Second garden planted with Team Zac spending an afternoon outdoors. Having checked what Team Jess planted this morning, they have opted for a range of different vegetables to try to differentiate themselves from the competition.
Grandpa loaned Zac some bamboo stakes and a wire mesh at the back of their garden, planting peas along the back row. They also opted for turnips and cauliflower in the next two rows of their garden.
Now you may wonder why they only have three types of plants while Team Jess easily managed to plant four… well Team Zac have a secret…
*whispering* “Keep this between us, but they have also planted potatoes as their covert underground vegetable.”
A fantastic and very sneaky strategy by the boys!!
Already the dogs are becoming an issue, as they had barely finished planting when they took me out the back to show me and we found large foot prints through their garden!!! I suspect Ruby was trying to discover their secret… may have to do something about that before too long!!
Anyway, that is two out of three now planted and the competition is well underway. Team Tara is next, knowing this is a marathon and not a sprint their slow and steady approach has now given them a great opportunity to “know your competition” before they decide what to plant. I can’t wait to see what they do!!
